NVCables is a Linux (bash) script for connecting to the Internet through a cables provider infrastructure using a PPTP client. This script is adopted for Netvision. Read more about the history and reasons for this project in the 'What is NVCables' section.

The little project is originated from a script by ERROR404, which was made for RedHat distributions. Our script was tested and operates on major distributions, e.g. Redhat 9, Fedora Core, Mandrake, Debian, SuSE. On other distributions that we're NOT focusing - Gentoo, Slackware, the script has to be modified, or there is a sister project for Gentoo: nvcables-gentoo
